About Justin
I am Justin Brimmer, a Master Plasterer with over 35 years of hands-on experience in traditional and heritage plastering. My life’s work has been dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historic buildings across the UK, Australia, and now the USA, where I continue to uphold and promote the timeless craft of plastering.
Specialising in lime plastering, lath and plaster, decorative mouldings, and conservation work, I combine centuries-old techniques with a deep understanding of historic materials and modern conservation standards. Every project I undertake is guided by precision, respect for architectural heritage, and a passion for craftsmanship that stands the test of time.
As a Master Plasterer certified by the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers and holder of multiple City & Guilds qualifications, I’ve had the privilege of contributing not only to restoration work but also to the education of future craftsmen. I’ve served as a Lecturer in Plastering at Oaklands Technical College and as a Lead Judge for the National SkillBuild Competition, mentoring apprentices and promoting excellence within the trade.
From Grade I and II listed buildings to high-end bespoke homes, my experience reflects a lifelong commitment to quality, authenticity, and heritage preservation. Through J Brimmer Historical Plastering, I continue to share my craft — restoring history, one wall at a time.
